According to Wikipedia, "Defining erotic art is difficult since perceptions of both what is erotic and what is art fluctuate." A better term would
perhaps be edgy art. It is art that is sensual in nature, most commonly beautifully depicting human form and intimate behaviors, but
not intended primarily to appeal to prurient interests, more as a study in human sensuality and being a fully alive flesh and blood being. Art can
exaggerate, focus and illuminate in ways that are not entirely realistic so as to draw our attention to nuances perhaps not previously considered.
A definition: Glamour photography is the photographing of a model to emphasize the subject, instead of the fashions or products endorsed.
Historically this genre has focused on attractive scantily clad women as the subject, with Playboy opening the doors for glamour models to become
more accepted in mainstream. As social morals loosened and photographers were able to more freely practice their art with the latest and best
photographic equipment and techniques the field has grown. Some of it has more of an emphasis on eroticism while other specialties tend to be
more about edgy fashion with less skin but still very sexy.
